magic quotes in PHP.

I don’t have access to the Apache or PHP configuration files to turn this off at the source and, of course, my web host doesn’t allow this setting to be turned off in an htaccess file. So, the only way I can solve this problem is to call stripslashes on all my POST and GET variables at the top of every script I run. One can only hope there’s a special place in hell for the PHP dev making this the default setting was a good idea.
