On Saturday afternoon, Cliff put together a trip to Sam’s Gun Shop and Range in Everett for his birthday. That definitely wins most original birthday idea of the year. He hired some officially certified trainers from the Boeing Gun Club to teach us basic gun safety and do some coaching. The guys put together a nice setup for us and did an overall great job. We rented three types of handguns–40 caliber and 9mm pistols, a 22 revolver–and rotated through 4 positions with about a dozen people. Hence, there was lots of time to take great pictures and try to chat through the hearing protection.
