About 10 years ago, I bought a decent, mid-grade pair of clippers from Walgreens. I’m not sure what happened to them, but I think I may have lost them in one of the moves to Germany. Either way, they lasted me through most of college without incident. After that, I’ve gone through several pairs of super cheap (like $10) clippers from Target. The problem is that they don’t work particularly well and tend to break in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, stores that sell more expensive products tend to just sell the same old cheap pair of clippers with more attachments, a cape, scissors, etc. I don’t need all that crap.
Recently, I decided to spring for a nice pair of hair clippers. I ordered these Andis Improved Master Clippers from Amazon last week, but just got around to using them this morning to cut my hair. Wow, what a difference a good pair makes! With the cheapo clippers, I typically have to run the clippers over the same area several times and run them kind of slowly so that my hair doesn’t jam them up. With the new ones, everything is quick and complete.

What flagrant advertising! The clipper bloc has clearly gotten to you. I bet you’re wearing Andis T shirts, have big Andis posters in your office at Microsoft, and have even had your car converted to a “clippermobile” (see the link).
