Now the question is when is the European Union going to bring the hammer down on Poland for things like this. Joining the EU is a package deal. You can’t take the economic benefits without also upholding the many rights and policies concerning free speech and tolerance of sexual orientation.

A good question! The European Parliament is very concerned, even befor this latest incident in Poznan happened. The European Commission is also making threatening noises at Warsaw - and the threats are economic. This may well be the straw that broke the camel’s back.
