California

Just after recovering from my trip to Maine, I jumped on a plane to California where I’ll be for about two weeks visiting family and attending SIGGRAPH 2005. The flight was fine, but the stretch from Charlotte to LAX was on the long side. Either way, it wasn’t very early in the morning this time. In fact, I didn’t even leave RDU until 5:25pm, which left me plenty of time yesterday afternoon to go over to Kessing. 36 laps in 30 minutes, which once again I’m very happy with. I hardly rested at all in between sets and that’s a great improvement over how things were even a couple weeks ago. Moreover, the pool was not crowded at all. At one point, I was the only person in the pool at all I think.

Anyhow, now that I’m back home for a while, I need to find alternate exercise venues. There’s a neighborhood pool here, but I might check out the Ole Hanson Beach Club Municipal Pool as well. As for jogging, there are a number of trails around.

Also, I got some more photos from Tynia which have been added to my Maine, Summer 2005 set. Additionally I’ve created a set containing just those new photos. Mostly they’re of me, which I guess makes sense since I’m obviously extremely vain.
