Well, I went and found the old database from the old blog and managed to copy over all the posts and comments. Unfortunately, WordPress made some database schema changes between the old version of their software and this newly installed version, so I had to brush up on my old MySQL skills to write a program to automate the conversion.

As much as I like to poke fun at Chapel Hill sometimes, I’m actually very happy with the location here. Seriously, don’t trust anybody who hasn’t lived outside of California! I think I’m going to let this inspire the writing a full blown entry on the topic.
