New Windows

A guy from UC Glass came by this morning at around 8:45am to put new windows in my room. While I wasn’t exactly thrilled to have to get up so early, I now have windows that seal and lock well. Very nice. MUCH quiter. The old ones were kinda rustic, but they were essentially crap. Now, I won’t have to listen to quite as much banal conversation from all those people standing out front CZ.

I also went down to the CS office again today to check on the status hiring the rest of my staff. It looks like now we’ll only have to hire one more person, either a TA or Reader (depending if one of the readers wants to be promoted to TA or not). While there, I ran into Kurt Meinz, who’s teaching 61C this summer. We TA’d 61C together for Mike Clancy a long time ago and then later I worked as a TA for Kurt when he taught 61A in the Summer of 2002.
