So, the people at work finally got back to me just now. Apparently, this whole email debacle was caused by a “spam storm”. That doesn’t sound good. I ended up receiving a bunch of mail that was sent between 9 and 11am several hours late (better late than never I guess), but [...]
So, as the auctions get down to the wire, some new bids have been made, bringing still better $$$ (or imagine three euro symbols actually) especially for the power supply. However, eBay’s software really has issues dealing with multiple countries. For example, my account was originally opened in the US, but I’m [...]
So, I just had an IM conversation with Carlos and it looks like I’ll be living in room 22 this summer, which is a good one. It’s actually right next door to my old room and is larger. Back then, it actually used to be a single, but Carlos informs me that it [...]

I was there [...]
Today, while wandering around LJ, I came across this journal of a soldier near the Kuwait/Iraq border. It’s definitely interesting to read, especially in comparison to all the other LJs, where people discuss their mundane lives. An interesting view of the war, from the inside.

Monitor on the auction block now too!
While looking at the Ampelmann site, I came across an interesting piece of text. Not because, well the text itself is all that interesting, but in fact because it’s a perfect example of weird German marketing babble that uses English buzzwords out of contexts that native speakers would ever dare set foot.
